Job description

Performance Controlling & Business Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze business performance across the Eastern European countries, identifying key performance drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Assess the forward-looking impact of identified deviations and risks on business performance.

  • Analyze key financial and operational KPIs and translate findings into clear management insights.

  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and support the business in defining appropriate actions.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a proactive finance business partner to regional and country management.

  • Challenge business assumptions and financial performance constructively and based on facts.

  • Translate financial analysis into actionable recommendations supporting management decisions.

  • Follow up on agreed actions with relevant business stakeholders and monitor their financial impact.

  • Build strong working relationships with Local Controllers and business leaders across the five Eastern European countries.

Planning, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Consolidate and critically review country forecasts and business assumptions.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

  • Ensure meaningful and consistent regional management reporting.

  • Develop KPI and performance reporting with a focus on management relevance rather than just reporting data.

Regional Controlling Development

  • Support the further development and standardization of controlling processes across Eastern Europe.

  • Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and improved data transparency.

  • Contribute to clearer processes, responsibilities, and ways of working between Local and Group Controlling.

  • Support the Finance Director in developing the overall controlling organization and capabilities.

Senior Responsibility

  • Act as a trusted sparring partner to the Finance Director Eastern Europe.

  • Take ownership of selected regional controlling processes and topics.

  • Coordinate cross-country controlling activities where required.

  • Provide guidance and professional support to controllers across the region.

  • Represent or support the Finance Director on selected controlling topics and management discussions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in controlling, FP&A, performance management, or finance business partnering, ideally within an international environment.

  • Excellent understanding of P&L and the ability to connect financial results with underlying operational and commercial drivers.

  • Strong analytical skills with solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.

  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills; experience with SAP is a distinct advantage.

  • Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and communicate complex financial topics clearly.

  • Proactive and hands-on working style—someone who does not wait to be asked for an analysis but identifies relevant issues and opportunities independently.

  • Strong collaboration skills in a matrix and multicultural environment.

  • Ability to operate both at a detailed analytical level and at a broader business-performance level.

  • Fluent English.
