Chief Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated professional for this pivotal role, which serves as the backbone of our financial integrity and regulatory compliance within the organization's regional finance structure.

• Ensure full compliance with Hungarian statutory regulations and internal Group policies.
• Manage general accounting, tax reporting, and internal controls for the accounting department.
• Perform detailed tax forecasting, VAT reporting, and transfer pricing documentation.
• Supervise fixed asset management and reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Coordinate the annual audit process in collaboration with the Country Controller.
• Prepare comprehensive IFRS statutory reports, including annual financial packages and bank statistics.
• Support regional treasury and risk functions through accurate financial data analysis.
• Oversee month-end closing activities and provide guidance to the local accounting team.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in controlling within a multinational environment.
• Expertise in IFRS is mandatory; Chartered accountant certification is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong business acumen combined with precise analytical capabilities.
• A diplomatic approach and proven ability in people management.
